Buisness Card

In order for people to be aware of the zine presence, we have created a buisness card that contains the online publication deatils. These cards shall be placed within Coco De Mer stores, the inside of the zine and Eleven Gallery gift shop. So just incase they have not brought our zine issue, they can still read about it online.

Wax Seal

One idea that we have come up with for the packaging is too place the zine within a envelope, as if it contains something private for that viewer only, then to seal the envelope with melted wax. This is in order for the reader to break the seal when they are ready, adding mystery and importance.

Eleven Gallery

The zine will mention the Eleven Gallery within the article about Natasha Law. This is due to it holding the Law exhibtions and being a place where we have recently visited and found it contained a warm and friendly atmosphere. Also, the manager has explained how they would like an online version of the article to be sent to them in order for it to be placed upon their website as we have mentioned nothing but positive praises towards the buisness.

laura lees for freya

The Genesis Appeal: a charity thats dedicates all of its time to the prevention of breast cancer.
five designs on 60 t-shirts only
all proceeds are given to them.

all in aid of spreading the word of a better fit with freya's bra fitting campaign.

I came across this in one of our favourite weeklys and just had to share it with you.

www.theholyfit.com

It ties in well with many of the articles we are running in our first issue such as 'do you know your cup size' and 'its time to rate your knickers.'

Harpers Bazaar is a well established fashion magazine publication: 'Sophisticated, elegant and provocative.'

The simplicity of the front cover is something we believe will work wonderfully with our zine. minimal text found with the main focus on the image. Most fashion magazines suffocate their covers with too many words. We want a sense of the unknown and intimate contents so inspiration from their layout solutions has helped determine what we really want to achieve with our zine. afterall the front cover is the most important as it makes the consumer pick it up in the first place.

Project Chore - sexy video

The Damaris lingerie brand is known to be controversial which director; Justin Anderson has captured perfectly pushing boundaries of modern film. Not what I was expecting at all, the music works well with the fast pace of the clip working effectively with the movements of the women.
I love the contradictions used in the film. Women doing not so glamorous everyday jobs around the house yet they are wearing the most beautiful underwear. Every girl enjoys the thrills of being able to walk around in the privacy of their own home, just in their underwear but not usually in their best pieces so it is an interesting approach. It reflects everyday life yet perhaps displays the sex appeal of the modern housewife.
This short film can be found exclusively on vogue.co.uk. Everyone is talking about it.

Everything girlie

These two images are small moodboards that have been created in order to portray how we vision girlie items; with the use of colour, images, subtle tones and illustration drawings being weaved within it. It is a simple example of how to take an ordinary image and create it to catch the viewers gaze while showing mesmerising snapshots of enviroments that people want to be apart of.

Coco de Mer

When presentaing our ideas to our lectures about our zine and who we feel it is targeted towards as well as what we would like it to portray, they told us of a retailer named Coco de Mer and how they believed our ethos and priorities where extremely similar. So this is what we found out about the company and their thrills of exotic luxuries and the lifestyle that comes with it;

"All our products are made with the consideration of environmental and human rights. We invest in the talents of local artisans...Ultimately, we hope that our products bring you joy, inspiration and a recharge of sexual energy that translates in the infinite enjoyment of one of life's great gifts...We Celebrate the beauty from which we all come! Savour life and drink it to the full."

To us, we feel that this is perfect. Not only are they expressing sexual mannerisms, but also taking into account other aspects of life that also revolve around this, for expample human rights, fair trade, the enjoyment of life and talents of local artisans. Brilliant!!
